Through a partnership with GuideStar, a national database of registered charities (and the platform behind THE NONPROFIT DIRECTORY's technology), publicly-viewable data from your organization’s Profile in THE NONPROFIT DIRECTORY will transfer to your organization’s GuideStar Profile (www.guidestar.org) on a quarterly basis. You will not need to update both Profiles. Your Profile can be viewed on both sites.

What information will be tranferred to GuideStar?

Only information that is currently viewable by the public on the Community Foundaiton of Collier County website at the time of tranfer will appear in GuideStar.

In addition, nonprofits that are chapters of or share an EIN with a parent organization will NOT be included in the sharing of data.

If a nonprofit agency has a GuideStar Profile that is newer than the approved date of THE NONPROFIT DIRECTORY profile, that agency's Profile in THE NONPROFIT DIRECTORY will not replace their GuideStar profile.

Organizations with GuideStar profiles older than the agency's Profile in THE NONPROFIT DIRECTORY will have their current GuideStar profile replaced by the agency's Profile in THE NONPROFIT DIRECTORY.

What do you need to do?

Keep your Profile in THE NONPROFIT DIRECTORY current to ensure that the most relevant information also appears on GuideStar.org. Important step: Don’t forget to submit the profile for publishing by clicking Send to Foundation.
